Lynda then served as a long-distance editor for Nancy's books: The Robins In Your Backyard, Raccoon Moon, and Red Knot: A Shorebird's Incredible Journey. The two friends finally met in 1996, when Nancy was invited to New England on an author tour for Red Knot.
In their most recent collaboration, Lynda authored and Nancy illustrated The Animals' Winter Sleep, a nonfiction book about winter survival for very young children.
After the presentation, festival-goers purchased books in the Book Tent for Nancy and Lynda to autograph.
Later that day, Lynda and Nancy presented a children's program on animal
winter survival at the Biggs Museum of American Art.
Families colored a lift-the-flap illustration from The Animals' Winter Sleep.
What a fun day for two old friends!
